The Gig

Hey everybody, the band performed another gig on Saturday 20th February. We got the audience grooving to the tunes of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan and "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
After arriving, we set about connecting the web of wires, initially we attempted to hook the amps up to the DJ machine which would be able to boost the sound. Sadly, our bassist's amp caused an earthquake through the venue and the DJ machine basically broke. So after much deliberation we just used the raw might of our amps and were let loose on stage.
The first tune - "Knockin On Heaven's Door" went down a great hit, the calm feel started off the event well. The lead on this song went to Ajay Kotecha, who played an awesomely innovative slide guitar lead. The mellow song suited our vocalist, Rahul Savadia.
After being met by a great applause, we went onto to our second song - Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This time I was handed the brilliant riff by John Frusciante. The bass was awesomely pulled of by our bassist, Calum Wrench. When the solo finally came, I went mad with the F# Minor Scale and ran up and down the Guitar neck faster than Usain Bolt can run.
Once again we were applauded loudly, but then we had an ace up our sleeve. We had planned to do one final quick song in order to really polish our show. What better song that Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)? So we powered into the song and got the audience clapping along. When we did conclude our performance we were followed by a nice applause which really finished off our performance well.
I will post up the video soon, but you can check out some of the other photos here:
And here you will see some of the backstage photography while we waited and also after
